The Ottawa Senators have sent down forward Ryan Shannon back to the AHL. Shannon played 2 games this season, recording 1 point.
The winger had been sidelined since mid-November with a concussion after a dangerous hit from the Islanders' Thomas Pock, who was suspended five games for the incident. He returned to action on Wednesday against the Thrashers.
