The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced today that center Jim O'Brien was selected to play for Team USA at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Ottawa.
O'Brien, in his second season with the T-Birds, has appeared in 26 games this season and has 10 goals and 16 assists with a plus/minus rating of +7.
O'Brien was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the first round, 29th overall, of the 2007 NHL Draft.
