The Ottawa Senators assigned yesterday defenceman Brian Lee and forwards Cody Bass and Zack Smith to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
All three players participated in Ottawa’s 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday, Nov. 29. Lee played 17:21 and was a +1, Smith played in 7:01 and Bass played 4:10. The game marked the National Hockey League debut for Smith.
Bass was recalled earlier today by the Senators after he played in the Binghampton Senators' 5-3 victory Sunday over Hamilton Bulldogs at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Alex Picard is day-to-day with a wrist injury and Dean McAmmond is still suffering from a bad cold. The Senators next play on Wednesday when they face the Atlanta Thrashers.
