Around the Senators

Forward Chris Neil is targeting Saturday for his return to the lineup.

Neil underwent arthroscopic knee surgery just more than a week ago. The tough guy has only two goals and three points in 17 games this season, but does have 50 penalty minutes. He is listed as day-to-day.

While Neil is doubtful for tonight's game against the Atlanta Thrashers, however, Shean Donovan (shoulder) and Ryan Shannon (concussion) should be ready.

Dean McAmmond, who is battling a sore throat, has not even resumed skating and is out of tonight's game. Alex Picard will also miss tonight's game with a wrist injury.
