Around the Bruins

Aaron Ward suffered a leg injury in the first period of Saturday's game when he checked Derek Meech. Ward is day-to-day and he was not on the ice in practice this morning.
Good news as Marco Sturm was back on the ice after missing six games because of a concussion.

The Bruins' next game being only Thursday in Tampa Bay, Ward and Sturm should be back in uniform thanks to a few days off.

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli may try to acquire a veteran defenseman is Ward or another play has to miss an extended period of time. Right now, there is no need to look outside the organization as rookie Matt Hunwick is playing like a seasonded veteran. In 12 games since being inserted in the lineup, Hunwick has 3 goals and 5 assists to go with a +10 differential. Hunwick is also playing on the second power play unit.
